Description
• Harbours (The impact calculated as a sum of cargo and passenger transport. Impacts of harbuors from the same net square were summed. It was standardized as a per cent of the impact of the harbour with the highest value and scored 10-100 every 10.Temporal coverage: 2016);
• MPA – Marine Protected Areas (Overlapping areas of Ramsar sites, UNESCO sites and NATURA2000 were summed. Scored for 30. Ramsar sites -This dataset displays Ramsar site polygon areas. Temporal coverage: 2017. UNESCO sites- The source of this data set was ‘Baltic Pipeline System: Environmental Impact on the Baltic Sea’ by Tacis services DG IA, European Commission. The dataset has later been amended with UNESCO World Heritage Sites. http://whc.unesco.org/en/list and the spatial data is obtained from respective countries. Temporal coverage: 2017. NATURA 2000- The source of data is https://www.eea.europa.eu/legal/copyright.Temporal coverage: 2017).
• Cables (Impact scored for 1. Temporal extent: 2010-2015).
• Pipelines (Impact scored for 1.Temporal extent: 2010-2015).
• Oil platforms (Impact scored for 10, based on dataset contains point data describing the location of oil platforms in the Baltic Sea. Temporal extent: 2010-2015.).
• Mariculture (Overlapping areas Shellfish points and areas and Finfish farms were summed. The impact was scored for 100. Shellfish production source data in kilograms in 2010-2015 in geometry form: area (polygon)and points. Swedish data covers only the permitted production in the year 2015 (Swedish data in the point dataset). Source data of fish farming facilities along the Baltic coast. The data was made available by HELCOM Contracting Parties in response to the data request. Temporal extent for Mariculture: 2010-2015. Provided by HELCOM).
• Wind farms (The data set contains information on the offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea area. Impact was scored for 10. Temporal extent: 2010-2016).
• Heat input (The input of heat contains warm water discharge points from nuclear power plants and fossil fuel energy production. The impact was scored for 50. Temporal extent: 2010-2014).
• Drilling units (Overlapping areas Dredging sites points, areas and lines were summed. This dataset contains dredging sites reported by HELCOM Contracting Parties. The impact was scored for 30. Temporal extent: 2005-2018).
• Natural dispersal factor (The impact of Natural dispersal was calculated as a Cost distance in the analyzed range (Baltic Sea) from the Baltic Sea inlet northward and eastward. The impact was scored 10-1 every 1 from the start point.).
